Subject: Re: efficient XML (!= recursion)
Message text written by "Peter D. We need buy in and we need ease of implementation to a broad global community. Tim Bray's criteria - that an XML parser should be easily implementable with two to three weeks work by a graduate student - should not be forgotten in this context. Not to mention another criteria - do you really want to be debugging @ 2am in the morning on a transaction with 45,000 lines in it that failed because of a recursive reference somewhere in it??! DW.
