Subject: xml design rules
Kris, There is also an old 12/99 article on http://www.rational.com/uml/index.jtmpl related to UMl /XML Schema mapping. Here's some idea's on the way forward. I would like to establish the following: * Compose the subgroup members (not too many, otherwise it's going to take ages). I would like to discuss this whole agenda during the next EbXML meeting in SF. * Define what exactly the scope is of the XML design rules (e.g. it should only cover the payload, only for core components, for header information, for interface information, etc....) * Define which EbXML group is going to do what * Establish what the commonalties are between my doc and yours (e.g it could be that they are complementary to each other. I believe we can do this one off-line between the two of us). If they are covering (partially) the same business, we have to come up with a solution. Also allow for other proposals if needed. * based on bullet two, if the scope is larger than what the 2 docs specify, fill the missing parts. Can you send me what you have so I can have a look at it. I believe we should post this mail to the whole group (what do you think?) BRs Kris
