Subject: RE: Article on ebXML

William,

Don't be so negative. Bill Smith (from Sun) was clearly identified as the
OASIS spokesperson for ebXML. Furthermore, Microsoft will be susppicious no
matter what a headline may say. And lastly, as you know, no one can control
or dictate to the editors what they'll say or write nor the headlines that
will be used.

Happy New Year!

Rachel

Alan Kotok pointed us to a new "piece on ebXML, including direct quotes
from K-D Naujok." See "Sun, OASIS And The U.N. Move To Make ebXML A
World Standard," by Christopher Parker (12/29/00), at
http://www.PlanetIT.com/docs/PIT20001229S0008.

Dear Alan:

Of course, anything that includes quotes from K-D Naujok piques my
interest. Thanks for the pointer.

So Sun is now the promulgator of ebXML? Headlines like this don't do
anything to quell Microsoft's suspicions of ebXML.
