Subject: Definition of business process
Bob, examples of business process: 1) Selecting trading partners 2) Purchase/Order/Shipping/Payment/etc... 3) Eating an elephant I would argue that business process should be loosely coupled from the ebXML framework. Perhaps I am misaligned from many of you on this point. The joke on #3 was meant to illustrate that there may be processes in the future which have not been accounted for, and thus cause an extinction in the generic model. One more metaphor--Shakespeare has been read for years, not because his syntax or the language is timely (t'is rather awkward actually), but because he loosely coupled his thoughts on life, the world and his "business process" in a generic way, that simply never becomes outdated. -Dain Hansen ECTone dhansen@ectone.com
