Subject: BP Metamodel suggestions
Business Process Team, As I mentioned in the conference call yesterday, Kumar Bhaskaran of IBM has submitted material from the Workflow Management Coalition along with a suggestion for revision of the ebXML BP metamodel. We agreed on the 24 April conference call that we would discuss such submissions if they were submitted to the BP PT in writing. Thus, I am forwarding Kumar's submission for your consideration. We have allotted time on the BP PT agenda of the Brussels meeting to discuss this proposal. Team members are invited to comment on this submission, whether or not you intend to be in Brussels. Levine/Telcordia) Subject: BP Metamodel suggestions Hi Paul: Attached is the rtf document with Wfmc's Workflow Process Definition Language metamodel in UML. The UML rendition is mine. I am also attaching two other documents -- one is WPDL specification and the other is a whitepaper on extending the model to include events. I believe we can take this metamodel and extend it to include economic resources, externalized organization and trust model, and the events to derive the ebXML bp metamodel. This would certainly extend the thought that ebxml bp group has put into the metamodel. (See attached file: Suggested revisions to metamodel.rtf)(See attached file: WPDL Standard.pdf)(See attached file: Wf Event Extension.pdf) Please distribute to others in the ebXML bp team. regards kumar
