Bill, {:>) Since when did Fortran invent the Decimal data type - that's a COBOL thing! BTW, I'll be submitting some comments on this section soon. The section takes the approach that "if it's in XML, we must want it" whereas what we are about is "if the ebXML Requirements present a need for a particular datatype, we must define that data type". How that datatype is mapped into XML is an implementation detail (an important one yes, but we need to start from an implementation independent viewpoint.). If, for some given datatype we have to define (e.g., time duration) the best mapping we can provide in XML is '#PCDATA', that's life. Cheers, Bob Miller
