Subject: Re: Thrusday con call

Tim,

I regret to say that in the frenzy of getting our final edits I forgot to turn change bars on.
The major changes as I recall are in teh following quick braindump. I apologize for not providing
change bars.

-Copied almost verbatim Jon Bosak's suggested changes to clarify content Vs. metadata (very
detailed list)

-Included a getPath(0 method on ClassificatioNode to facilitate ad hoc query

Adresses the following comments from QR:
-------------------------------------------

3.2 Document Version History
Get rid of all history before submitting to QR.
(Done)

4.2 Caveats and Assumptions
Delete whole section. The spec shouldn't be "living" and it has
to be frozen at the publishing time.
(done)

5.3 What the Registry Information Model Does
Line 250 and 251 are unclear. What is the meaning of "metamodel"?
(removed, done)

Figure 1 - It is hard to read for the people who don't know UML.
(IMHO Global ebXML issue that should be adressed in Glossary. UML is the most commonly
understood notation. No change)

  Managed Object and Package
It is not clear how the package is composed of, and the relationship

    between Managed Object and Package
(No change. UML diagram in Fig 1 shows that a package has Managed objects and that managed
objects may belong to 1 or more packages). Fig 2 shows the inheritence relationship between
Package and ManagedObject.

7 Registry Information Model: Detail View
  IntrinsicObject and ExtrinsicObject
It is not clear what the difference between them is.

(IntrinsicObject registry knows about and has intrinsic knowlegde of. ExtrinsicObjects the
registry
has know intrinsic knowledge of. I believe No Change).

12.1.2 Ad Hoc Queries Based on Object Metadata And Content
It looks like Query is performed not only the metadata but also the
registered content. But that is not true. Searchable items should be
metadata and the special content such as company profile only.

Content based queries are supported indirectly via automatic classification of content based on
data within
the content. This is described in RS.
