For EDI applications, you can find a tutorial for ANSI X12 on my web site below. It deals primarily with the X12 syntax used in the U.S., but several lessons apply to other EDI syntaxes as well. You'll have to read the ebXML specs further for the benefits of the ebXML approach over traditional EDI.
