Subject: Re: [ebxml-dev] Role of OAG in ebXML BP design

Hello Scott. I am forwarding this to several people -- ebXML BP
team leads and OAG -- who seem most likely to be able to provide
detail. We have strong OAG participants in relevant ebXML
workgroups, and it is my impression they are minding the compatibility
issue.
Generally, in my view, the ebXML BP work is deliberately agnostic
to the data design of individual business documents. BPSS at
present is perfectly happy passing X12 or EDIFACT messages, OAGIS BODs,
RosettaNet, etc. as its "documents" being transported and
logically associated. It would also properly envelope
cuneiform tablets, if there is a BabyloniaML XML expression of
them. We thought that was important to permit
adoption. Regards Jamie

Hello
all- One area in which
the BP team with whom I'm involved is very interested is the role of OAG
(Open Applications Group) in the ebXML work efforts. * * * How does
the OAG organization (and its work efforts) semantically,
bureaucratically, and technically "fit" into the ebXML
definition,design and implementation?
