Subject: RE: [ebxml-dev] BizTalk & ebXML Again
I concur with Brian. Microsoft does not appear interested in supporting ebXML. Microsoft seems to be promoting alternative specifications, which they have Intellectual Property Rights to. No vendor can claim IPR (and charge royalties) on ebXML's Message Service because it was developed by the ebXML community and is free for anyone to implement. Fortunately, there are numerous software companies that do support ebXML, so implementers should have no problem finding a solution for Windows and non-Windows platforms. It may not be long before that is the basis of BizTalk (hard to tell with proprietary standards). _________________________________________________________________ Join the world’s largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com ---------------------------------------------------------------- The ebxml-dev list is sponsored by OASIS.
