I pretty much agree with the answer below.  I suggest you look at the payloads and then extend the DTD as necessary to suit your context.  OAGIS has an extension mechanism built just for this purpose in their DTD's and also a much more sophisticated one for Schema as well.  For the DTD's I recommend you look at the programmers guide on our web site describing how to make these extensions.  The link to the document is here:  http://www.openapplications.org/downloads/whitepapers/whitepaperdocs/whitepaper.htm

You excatly correct.. I am looking for XML payload for ORDERS, DESADV and INVOIC....

I have downloaded EAN.UCC simple ebXML schemas from EAN-International and UCC sites and UBL schemas from OASIS site. According to your advices I am starting to understand those schemas.

As I understand you are looking for something which would describe XML payload (ORDERS, etc) preferably in the DTD form which you can be used by your mapping tool.

 

The truth is that at the moment that it would be quite difficult to find a payload description which would exactly match your requirements. Your requirements are based on a particular _context_ which happens to be pharma industry - a Purchase Order for pharmaceuticals would be quite different from automotive or other. ebXML try to promote a concept of the Core Components - building blocs which can be used by any industry, Core Components being realized in a Particular Context will become BIEs - Business Information Entities, which would be context bound and possibly little reusable in other context. There is a large work being done currently to create a rules were _any context_ can be satisfied by using Core Components and specific Context Drivers.

 

What has been proposed in several replies in this list - to have a look to several schemas/DTDs which are context bound - (RosettaNet, EAN.UCC, OAGIS, UBL - list is not complete) and choose payload description which would match your expectations the most.

Our company is distributing General Electric - Global Exchange Services products and services in Turkey and provides services in Electronic Commerce.. We are using EDIFACT standards to exchange data between our customers and their partners.. But new client, who is leader in pharmacy sector, wants to exchange data with trading partners using ebXML standards.

At here I have in stuck because up to now I have no expericence in XML standards so I have no idea which consortium standards are using to exchange data for pharmacy sector so we decided to use ebXML standards.

You are saying that ebXML consortium has not work to develop standards so UBL in OASIS consortium is developing standards to use as ebXML standards for exchange data.. Could you please confirm me if I understand correctly?

We have a Enterprise Application Integrator (AI) software.. we are using it to translate data from one type to another type..  We can say that it is mapping tools... So,  AI needs standard file model to translate data.. For example, when I want to translated EDIFACT ORDERS file to SAP file, using EDIFACT ORDERS standard model as source file.

At here I want to ask a qustion...Where I am able to find ebXML or UBL ORDERS standard model file to embaded into AI? Because, I have to find out related dtd's file and using it translate in-house file..

I hope can explain my aim clearly. If you could help me to find correct dtds I would be very happy.

UBL specification is not yet complete. For an estimate on when TC
approved specification will be available I will defer to members of the
OASIS UBL TC. Once a TC approved spec is available for UBL I expect
adoption to accelerate.  I am not aware of any trading community is
using UBL for e-commerce yet.
