CDC's Prevention Public Health Information Network Messaging System (PHINMS) implements the ebXML infrastructure to securely transmit public health information over the Internet. PHINMS is a generic, standards-based, interoperable and extensible message transport system. It is platform-independent and loosely coupled with systems that produce outgoing messages or consume incoming messages. The case study shows a successful implementation of two ebXML specifications, ebMS and CPPA. http://www.ebxml.org/case_studies/documents/casestudy_cdc_phinms.pdf
