Subject: [Fwd: Internet EDI (XML/EDI) Introduction Guidebook]
I suggest we get permission to link to or publish this guide on the ebXML site. I will also integrate the updated information in the Adoption Update. I've highlighted several sections that speak to adoption and relevant recommendations (many focused on BPSS). David, I think you have ample additional material to include in your messaging evaluation including some cost projections which may help quantify the benefit of the evaluation and results (particularly for business people). I'll converse with Saito-San and see if I can get more details or ask about where they gathered their cost and maintenance data. Thanks. -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Internet EDI (XML/EDI) Introduction Guidebook Date: Fri, 2 May 2003 14:22:23 +0900 From: Yukinori Saito <y-saito@ecom.jp> Reply-To: Yukinori Saito <y-saito@ecom.jp> To: OAGI) A.J. This guidebook describes how to construct or implement XML based Internet EDI system (XML/EDI) for EDI users. This guidebook has been written in Japanese language originally. Then I translated almost important parts of it to English language. This guidebook consists mainly of Classification of Internet EDI, System functions, Standardization, Notes to design XML/EDI system, Scenarios to introduce XML/EDI system, Developing fees and operating fees, Effects of XML/EDI, Industry activities and deployment cases of XML/EDI, B2B standards, and others. ECOM will publish this guidebook at ECOM's English web page later. http://www.ecom.jp/ecom_e/index.html I will appreciate if you would read or refer this guidebook, and give me some comments.
