Subject: ebXML proof-of-concept: topology spreadsheet
All, As promised this morning, here's a more readable version (spreadsheet) of the allocation of ebXML PoC participants to roles/capabilities, based on the capabilities matrix as filled out by 12 participants (current count). Other participants may still send in their matrix. The allocation spreadsheet will be updated accordingly. The spreadsheet is a first attempt at defining topologies for the Tokyo PoC, i.e., who does what and with whom. As we get a clearer picture of what participants can actually provide versus what they could provide, the topologies will be updated. It is important that each participating organization decides as soon as possible on their intended offering for the PoC, so that we know precisely what to expect from each one. In addition, there are still a number of unknows with respect to some of the specifications that will (not) be available to us to use. Based on the answers to those questions, some of the capabilities may or may not be shown at the PoC. Please review the spreadsheet and comment as necessary -- keep in mind that it is a first-pass, strawman proposal. Also, keep in mind that the capabilities matrix and the topologies spreadsheet correspond to what participants want to do for the ebXML PoC, and that there is not necessarily a connection with their current or planned product offerings. -Philippe <<ebXML PoC topologies.xls>> _______________________________ Philippe De Smedt Architect Viquity Corporation (www.viquity.com) 1161 N.
