Subject: ebXML: question to PoC team re. acknowledgments and multi-hop
Dear PoC-ers, As you may know, the ebXML Messaging working group is trying to nail down some outstanding issues w.r.t. reliable messaging and multi-hop routing, and has created a sub-group to look into these issues in more depth. At the Tokyo PoC, the feedback from some of the participants was that they want to have the capability to route acknowledgments back to the sender via the route that the original message took, rather than just having the option of sending the acknowdledgment message directly to the sender. For this purpose, a 'RoutingHeader' was created, which 'logs' the path that the message has taken. I want to make sure that what I wrote is an accurate representation of the requirement. If those who articulated the requirement initially could please confirm this, that would be much appreciated. It would help the sub-team in making sure all requirements are properly addressed. Thanks much. -Philippe _______________________________ Philippe De Smedt Architect Viquity Corporation (www.viquity.com) 1161 N.
