Subject: Re: Summary of Steering Committee meeting 20th Sept.
Nagwa and Tim: Please arrange immediately to have the full comments delivered to me ASAP. I fear, based on Nagwa's comments, that she may have been referring to the document that was distributed at San Jose. The new document was a complete re-write to address those issues. I find many of the documents completely unfounded and based on the discussions in San Jose. Specifically 1. Nagwa's comments on lack on high level use cases - there are 20 some odd such use cases elaborately identified in the specification (yes - a few are not complete however they will be by the end of the first review cycle). 2. The full functional requirements for each subsequent team have been 100% laid out, contrary to Nagwa's comments. IF there are any shortcomings in those, let the input come from the appropriate sources. 3. Reg Rep has been reduced to the point where it only described basic functional requirements and an architectural overview of how each fits into the ebXML infrastructure - something which we, as a team, stated we would do back in Orlando. The Reg rep folks don;t seem to have any problems with it. PLease forward your specific misgivings to us ASAP. We need to have this specification out ASAP becuase no other work can be done without it. How can you think of approving other teams' specs when you don't have an architecture to show what functionality they must provide??????
