Subject: Re: Applying transformations to Payloads
Davids, Currently, the CPP/CPA does not have any facility to describe payload data other than naming the XML schema or DTD and whatever definitions will be needed to cover mime and packaging issues (unless Chris slipped something in when I wasn't looking :-) ) In principle, there is no reason why something that describes payload transformations could not be added. We should be a bit careful, however, because there must be a plethora of possible transformations and we may be tiptoeing into uncharted territory, which may not be a good thing between now and May. However before you could do this, it would be useful if information on the ability to accept this (or any other) type of transformation in the payload was recorded in the CPP/CPA. Is there a facility to support this in the CPP/CPA Regards David Product Management, Commerce One 4400 Rosewood Drive, Pleasanton, CA 94588, USA Tel: +1 (925) 520 4422 (also voicemail); Pager: +1 (888) 936 9599 mailto:david.burdett@commerceone.com; Web: http://www.commerceone.com
