I'm writing this message to let you know about an upcoming (March 16-17)
cross-industry conference at the U.S. National Institute of Standards and
Technology, in Gaithersburg, Maryland, that will probably be of considerable
interest to OASIS and its members.  We would be delighted to have an OASIS
voice at the conference, particularly to share your views about the ebXML
endeavor.  (I noted this in the page 1 article on XML documents in the Feb
28 issue of Computerworld.)  I hope you will pass along word of this event
to the OASIS members, and that the OASIS viewpoint will be expressed at
NIST.  The full conference information is at

I'll be happy to discuss the conference with anyone from OASIS.  Should you
desire, it might be possible for OASIS to have an opportunity to tell the
