Changes to this List

Dear ebXML Participants!

This mailing is to inform you that the setup of this General ebXML
list has been changed in order to ensure that the usage is in line
with the original idea for this list.

This list was created to serve as the media that would be used by
the Executive and Steering Committee to make announcements. The
general idea was that "every" ebXML" participants would be on this
list.  That way the list would serve as the communication channel
for informing everyone about upcoming meetings, drafts out for
review or other important administrative messages.

Over the last few weeks the traffic increased on this list because
of some general discussions being started.  Because of this a large
number of participants un-subscribe since they did not have the time
and/or means to process the large amount of messages.

In order to ensure that there is a way to communicate important
administrative information to every ebXML member we have changed
the setup of this list to only allow messages to be send by the list
owner. In other words the list is now read-only.  We have
re-subscribe all those members that un-subscribe.

In addition, a new list has been created called ebXML-discussion.
This was done in recognition that some members want to engage in
discussion topics that are not covered by any of the ebXML project
teams.  Please note however, that any opinions expressed on this
list are that of the individuals that created them and do not
at any time representing the official position position of ebXML's
committees or project teams.
