What a great suggestion. I will be subscribing after I complete this note.
Is that our new name..the propoganda committee? Let's see if we live up to
it.

Other team members,

Now that we have our charts posted, it is time for some real work...so much
for the vacation since 11/17. The assignments are:

   As a team, we need to revisit and assign ourselves which one of the
   areas that each of us would like to volunteer to be the focal point for.
   They are:
     -Marketing/Education/Awareness/Compiling deliverables. The work that
is required is refining the scope, developing an action plan to execute,
and ensuring the team agrees with the deliverables.
   The next action item is to identify marketing channels that we should be
   utilizing to publish our work ...see request below:
   I understand the next meeting will be at the end of January let's see
   how much work we can accomplish by then.
   Looking forward to see your good volunteerism to be focal points.

Alert:

OASIS and the UN are working on a press release announcing the launch of
the ebXML Initiative and the success of this week's inaugural meeting. We
would like your help in promoting this announcement and your company's
support of ebXML to the press. A draft of the press release will be
available early next week, but the basic pitch is:

1. ebXML is going to lower the barrier of entry to global electronic
business and facilitate trade, particularly with respect to developing
nations. It will level the playing field.

2. ebXML is a cooperative, vendor-neutral effort, sponsored by the United
Nations and OASIS.

3. More than 120 standards organizations and companies supported ebXML by
attending the inaugural meeting this week.

This is VERY exciting work, and we want to get the word out on it. Our
goal
is to arrange for interviews (via phone or in-person) with major trade and
financial press and analysts. The scope is international. Laura Walker,
executive director of OASIS, the chairs of the ebXML Initiative and/or a
representative from the United Nations will be available to participate,
along with a representative from your organization.

If you are interested in helping me pitch this story by setting up
interviews with your contacts in the press and analyst community, please
let me know. Send me a short list of the trade pubs and/or analysts that
you would like to approach with this story. I will coordinate our efforts
so that we reach all our target media. I welcome any suggestions you may
have for maximizing our success.

Got your phone call.  Thanks for the note that the updates have been
made to the http://www.ebxml.org/ site. Will give you a call when I get
a chance, but I think it would be best if we maintain a permanent
transcript of anything discussed by simply using the 'ebxml-awareness'
mailing list at ebxml-awareness@lists.oasis-open.org.  Even if we are
just talking about the editing process, everyone should be aware of what
we plan to do.

I have been subscribed to all the lists for ebXML to be kept abreast of
all the goings-on in the other lists:

ebxml
ebxml-architecture
ebxml-awareness
ebxml-bp
ebxml-core
ebxml-regrep
ebxml-requirements
ebxml-transport

I suggest that others in the Propaganda committee be subscribed to at
least the one other group's list for whom they are a liaison.  Archives
are available for any messages that you may have missed.
