Subject: Fw: XML standards
What should we do when we see efforts like this, where ebXML may benefit
from the work these folks are doing, and they in turn can be kept in the
loop on ebXML? Has CIDX even heard of us?

Subject: XML standards
Question for the CIDX members:
Is anyone actively developing XML template definitions on their
own? We have a project underway that requires XML definitions
for orders, order confirmation, COA, BOL, RBOL, rail car ETA
and rail car passings. I believe that to date, "draft industry
standards" exist for orders and order confirmation. We plan to
develop "proposed industry standards" for the others this
month.
If anyone else has a similar effort underway, I'd like to talk
to you about your XML definition work now and not wait until
the September CIDX meeting. I can be reached at 205-298-3764
or brian.stauss@vul.com.
I'll share what I can about our project with the members in
September.
