Subject: inter-spec dependencies

We have discussed, and are acutely aware, that the process designed by the
ebXML executive and QR groups didn't create many opportunities for
inter-team coordination. (In my view, we did pretty darn well on an
ad-hoc basis in harmonizing BP and TP/CPP/CPA -- primarily because people
deliberately drifted back and forth -- and obviously BP and CC were wired
to work together, but not all of the interfaces may be that smooth.)

Mindful of that, I found the following from the TP/CPP/CPA list informative.

I have no particular views or concerns about Marty's take, but it reminds
me that different people may have different views about the extent to which
ebXML standards only work, or should work, end to end.

Personally I support only using PoCs that show end to end functionality --
but that's about proofs of concept. It would be a different matter to
argue that all uses of ebXML should use all ebXML layers.
