Subject: ebXML-Analysis Teleconference Report - Wed 7 March
ebXML Analysis Team Meeting CALL DATE: MAR-07-2001 (Wednesday) CALL TIME: 08:00 AM PACIFIC TIME Attendees: Todd Boyle, Jamie Clark, Charles Fineman, Bob Haugen, Brian Hayes, Paul Levine, Marcia McLure, Bill McCarthy, Nita Sharma, David Welsh. Agenda ===== + Worksheets + Catalog Worksheets ========== ...What is a Business Actor? The UMM makes reference to base elements from UML and one of these elements is the Business Actor. ...Would the actor appear in the Specfication Schema? No. ==> Issue: There is an issue of what goes in the Registry/Repository: instances of the UMM/BP Metamodel and/or Specification Schema. Note that the Reg/Rep can store anything. Discussion about Roles and Actors... ...Actors can be specific like Nordstrom.com or archetypical like "DOTCOM"... Reference the Open-EDI model for definitions (ISO 14662). ==> A url to this document will be made available on the JDT Resources page (http://www.ebxml.org/project_teams/jdt/resources/) Discussions about the difficulties that have occurred because of the divergence of the Specification Schema from the BP Metamodel. ==> The Worksheets are derived from the UMM. The Worksheets approach should be able to produce an instance of the UMM/BP Metamodel or the BP Specification Schema. There is a concern that has been sufficient design changes in the Specification Schema that this may not be true. ==> The onus of aligning the Specification Schema with the Worsheets is the responsibility of the Specification Schema team. Discussion re: Business Role and Authorization Role. There was discussion in Vancouver that Business Role would be a useful conceptual tool for the worksheets however it does not appear in the UMM/BP Metamodel. ==> Charlie to write up on the possible need for Business Role ==> There also needs to be a general write up on Roles in the Worksheets. What is a difference between all the types of roles and examples. Brian to contact Arofan Gregory for a normalized list of Roles. Nita and Charlie to attempt a draft write-up. Note that the Metamodel example is at http://www.ebxml.org/project_teams/business_process/wip/ccbp-analysis/mmx/. ==> Issue: Who is responsible for assuring that the Worksheets meet the UMM? Catalog ======= Discussion about the resuable and searchable parts (e.g. business process level, transaction level, etc.). Next Meetings ============= + Catalog Teleconference - Friday 12 Eastern, 9 Pacific. 1.5 hours (11 people) + Worksheet Teleconference - Friday 1pm PST. 2 hours? (4 people to possibly call in) For above meetings: USA Toll Number: +1-712-237-3264 (18 lines) Toll Free Number: 877-939-5307 (2 lines) PASSCODES 266233 LEADER: Mr Brian Hayes I have set up a permanent "unattended instant meeting" for those access numbers an passcode. Thus, we can have adhoc meetings 7x24 providing you can get me to call in and key in my access code to enable the call. INSTANT MEETING SERVICE ADDITIONAL FEATURES AND INFORMATION: Entry/Exit Tones Turned On *0 - Operator Assistance. Will bring an Operator into the Conference. *6 - Self Mute & Un-Mute. This feature is useful in cases where a participant is in a noisy area and the phone doesn't have a mute button, such as pay phones or cell phones. Works like a toggle switch. * How Instant Meeting works: At the designated meeting time, all participants dial in to the access number and enter their Participant Passcode after the voice prompt. Participants will be placed on Music-on-Hold until the leader arrives. When the leader dials in and enters the Leader Passcode, the call begins. If the leader arrives first, participants will be entered directly into the conference upon their arrival. * If the conference leader does not dial in, the call will terminate 20 minutes after the first participant dialed in. The conference leader will be charged usage for the time those participants were awaiting the leader's arrival. If you would like a meeting to start without you, you can give your leader passcode to a trusted colleague who will be attending the call. Multiple leaders can dial in, and as soon as any leader arrives the call will begin. Keep in mind the leader passcode can be used to start future calls. If you feel the security of your leader passcode is compromised, just call us at the number above and we'll change it for you. * Your subscription is set up for a maximum number of participants, including the leader. If more than that number attempt to dial in, they will be blocked, and will hear the following message: "At this time, access to your conference is unavailable. Please confirm your conference information and try your call again. If you are still unable to access your conference, please contact your conference leader." /Brian
