GNUE open source project

The GNUE open source ERP project ( http://gnue.org ) has
documented some objects for Person, Location, etc. at
 http://goats.gnue.org/~neilt/ and requested comments on list:

I have no idea whether GNUE are in a position to alter these 
plans or whether they would want to make the objects conformant
with ISO 11179, ebXML Core Components, EDIFACT, etc.  But
it could potentially happen without too much change.

Last month, the GNUE project published some GL table 
designs http://gnue.org/docs/accounting_package/ which are 
not fundamentally different from the OMG's general ledger
ftp://ftp.omg.org/pub/docs/finance/99-03-05.txt (or .doc, .pdf)
There may be source code available for the OMG GL facility 
if you are interested.  In any case, the OMG GL spec. represents 
thousands of hours of technical collaboration between 1997-99 
and the specification itself is the valuable part.
