I am answering this on behalf of my colleague Mukund, who is the
technical contact for Sun's ebXML Registry implementation. Mukund is on
vacation and will address any follow-up questions.

        Please see the slide show that is part of the release
        documentation.

        There is a "quick tour" link in the docs
        that takes you through the submission process.

        Just login with "guest"/"guest" (no quotes of course)
        and it is all configured to work without any
        registering (of submitters). This is mentioned in
        the quick tour.

        You won't find a "login" page because it is just a
        mapping name to a servlet. The next release will
        be based on J2EE Form-based authentication, so this
        will go away anyway.

        I know the install instructions are a bit long,
        but please make sure you read it all at least once,
        and above all please let me know how the docs can
        be made clearer/easier to follow.
