[ebxml-dev] is Acknowledgement element is required?

Hi all,

i have few questions regarding the ebXML MS V2.0
specification

1> is Acknowledgement element is required in a
response message which is an error message? ( suppose
i received a message, in which the verification of the
digital signature fails, so i have to send the
SecurityFailure error message as response, in that
case is Acknowledgement element is required in
reliable messaging enveronment)

2> in reliable messaging enveronment, is the 
sequence number element is mandatory even for Ping and
StatuRequest messages
