Re: UN/CEFACT and future of ebXML

This was discussed in Bonn. My guess is that submission will happen.

Hi Mark,
Good to know that ebXML CCTS will be submitted to ISO TC154. What about
ebXML BPSS? I believe this is the last piece of specification, for which
there is no indication as yet on whether it'll be submitted to ISO.

Sorry for the late reply, but havingI just returned from the recent
CEFACT Forum meeting in Bonn where we continued work on ebXML Core
Components Technical Specification and voted to submit that
specification to ISO TC154 along with the other ebXML specifications
that were just approved as ISO specifications should sufficiently answer
the question.

Can someone give an OASIS point of view on UN/CEFACT pulling out of
ebXML development?

http://slashdot.org/articles/04/02/23/0623212.shtml

What impact does this have on the future of ebXML, if any?

Cheers,

James
