Subject: RE: [ubl-dev] Re: [ubl-dev] Q: What mime type for UBL/ebxml with smtp ?
As promised, we discussed this issue today during the UBL TC F2F in Copenhagen. We do not feel that mime-type is in the purview of UBL as it belongs to a different layer in the OSI stack. We recommend that you address this to the appropriate messaging standards group - i.e. the OASIS ebMS TC if you are working in an ebXML environment. Mark Mark R. One caution is that the 'text' part of text/xml indicates that the document contains US-ASCII and no other, which has caused a huge amount of discussion on other XML lists. (Example: http://lists.ebxml.org/archives/ebxml-transport/200012/msg00099.html) Perhaps application/xml is a better generic option. .micah stephen_green@seventhproject.co.uk wrote: >David > >I should think there would be a general feeling against any mime type >other than text/xml > >
