Subject: [ebxml-mktg-sc] 10/21/2002: Small and Important Press in EAI Journal(Sept 2002)
Saw this in the September issue of EAI Journal - may assist in our white paper on synergy with Web Services: THE NEXT WAVE OF INTEGRATION PLATFORMS By Don Roedner EAI Journal, September 2002 page 16-19 Discusses broadly the next generation of integration services - application servers, integration brokers, the advent of Web Services (Web-inspired integration) and future integration brokers. In latter section, it says: "The integration broker must supply services that allow the orchestration of smaller components into larger ones. It must also supply the platform necessary for non-engineering staff to expose, deploy, and manage those services. To support trading partner collaborations on the Internet, these integration brokers must support popular business-to-business (B2B) protocols such as RosettaNet and e-business eXtensible Markup Language (ebXML). The next generation of integration brokers must take all the benefits of the current gerneation, add suport for Web services integration standards, and provide a platofrm to support enterprise and inter-enterprise deployments....." Thanks. (Note: Can't find online though). Monica
