Subject: RE: [ebxml-mktg-sc] Alexander [ebxml-dev] 1/2/2003: Microsoft Refusesto support ebXML
Monica, I would also add that Microsoft sent two of their top SOAP people to Vancouver to develop the ebXML MS spec's with SOAP, and they also continue to have people on the OASIS and CEFACT teams. The "only Sun" is a common mis-perception. Oracle, Sybase, Fujitsu, WebMethods, and many more are implementing ebXML components. MS is very pragmatic - when their key accounts ask them for something - they deliver it, so I expect moves in that direction in 2003. And Monica is correct - the ebXML projects and products document from the OASIS website is the definative source. http://www.ebxml.org/ebxml_jmt/documents/ebxml_adopt_nov02_rc.doc Thanks, DW. ====================================================== Message text written by Monica Martin >While most of the industry is aligned behind SOAP, WSDL and UDDI, only Sun is championing ebXML while Microsoft refuses to support it. <
