Great analysis.   Strong points.

You also mentioned one of my "pet" visions.

The "Intel Inside" branding campaign - extends to
user business applications - so that "ebXML inside"
is what users are looking for.

That tells them that the product can talk to any other
like branded product.  Clearly open standards is
the only way you are going to get there.

When you see this vision - you see very clearly 
what is wrong with applications customers 
buy today - they are all stove pipes - that are
welded down tight.
