Ron,

I am actually planning to send this form tonight. First email was mostly informational one. Thank you for your comments.

Subject:        Re: [ebxml-mktg] ebXML Speaker's Bureau initiative

Alexi,

I think we want to do more than just take names here.

Is there some sort of template that volunteers have to fill out, listing
things like:

1.  Which ebXML topics they are willing to speak on?

ebMS, Reg Rep, BPSS, orgainzational contrast with WS-I, whatever

This will help match a speaking opportunity with a viable speaker

2.  Background:

Both in terms of XML, ebXML and previous speaking experience

Essentially we should be asking for a "speaker bio".

Then there is the question of whether we should ask volunteer speakers to
submit an abstract and and possibly even the slideset they will use.

After all, if we send folks out to speaking engagements, they represent the
ebXML organization.  I don't think we need to overmanage what may be said ...
but there should be some level of oversight of what is being said, essentially
in ebXML's name, and some indication that the speaker can present the topic
effectively.

                                                                                                     Regards,

                                                                                                     Ronk
