Subject: RE: BP/CC POC Sub-proposal
Hi, Thanks. I will check out the web site - I did see some documentation. What is the latest version of these documents ? I think the web site is up and running. BTW, I am looking forward to the auto mm example, as my Masters is in Production Engg and I used to work as an Industrial engineer in an auto factory ! Brings back memories ....... You can send me working copy of the example and I could also work with you folks on this. cheers -----Original Message----- From: Bob Haugen [mailto:linkage@interaccess.com] Sent: Friday, September 15, 2000 8:24 AM To: 'Krishna Sankar'; 'Karsten'; 'mark.hale@ajubasolutions.com' Cc: 'ebxml-poc@lists.ebxml.org'; 'ebxml-bp@lists.ebxml.org' Subject: RE: BP/CC POC Sub-proposal The latest metamodel docs were supposed to be posted on the revived BP project pages ASAP. Maybe Paul Levine or Brian Hayes could announce when this has been accomplished. I believe the CC pages are being revived, too. If the web site is still in limbo by the end of today, I'll start sending private emails with a large attachment to all the various people who have requested the metamodel doc. (But I hope I don't need to do that...) However: >I can take a look at the new metamodel/cc and >see how they can be implemented for the POC I think it would help you a lot to see an example, which we are working on (using the auto materials management example) but it is not finished. We're shooting for the Sept 20 materials group workshop. -Bob Haugen -----Original Message----- From: Krishna Sankar [SMTP:ksankar@cisco.com] Sent: Friday, September 15, 2000 9:54 AM To: Bob Haugen; 'Karsten'; mark.hale@ajubasolutions.com Cc: ebxml-poc@lists.ebxml.org; ebxml-bp@lists.ebxml.org Subject: RE: BP/CC POC Sub-proposal Bob, I can take a look at the new metamodel/cc and see how they can be implemented for the POC. Can you send me the latest materials ? cheers -----Original Message----- From: Bob Haugen [mailto:linkage@interaccess.com] Sent: Friday, September 15, 2000 4:16 AM To: 'Karsten'; mark.hale@ajubasolutions.com Cc: ebxml-poc@lists.ebxml.org; ebxml-bp@lists.ebxml.org Subject: RE: BP/CC POC Sub-proposal Mark, Karsten, et al, I'd like to see some example used that is aligned with both core components and the latest version of the metamodel. An advantage for POC of the latest metamodel is that it is compatible with RosettaNet, which the POC implementors all know how to execute. Jim Clark and I have been working many hours to get the materials management group business process to conform to the latest metamodel. Discussions are going on now as to whether the materials group will have time to adopt our revisions in their Sept 20 meeting at AIAG. If GCI content is used as the example - and I understand why Mark went with their proposal, they were ready to go in San Jose - it would be good to align their stuff with the latest metamodel and core components. I am not sure if anybody is working on that. Otherwise, we will have a demo, but it will not prove BP and CC.
