Subject: RE: QRT Request to Review Registry Information Model v0.52
We are planning to have a f2f next week (1/4-5; Thursday-Friday) in Boston to finalize the Registry Services specification. At this time it is improbable that we will have the RS spec before next Friday afternoon. The documents are interdependent, up to a point, as some of the service interfaces "get" and "set" information based on the RIM. However, there is a caveat that the "methods" on the classes in the RIM are not part of the service interfaces, but can be accessed if needed via ad hoc query mechanisms for complex queries. We will certainly keep you posted of our progress. However, we believe there are several areas where the Information Model needs to be considered against the Interfaces which will apply to it. Therefore, it may be more effective and efficient to review both the Registry Interfaces and Information Model Specifications simultaneously. We understand that your team may be in a position to submit the Registry Interfaces document in the next few days. If we can receive the Registry Interfaces specification in this timeframe we shall endeavour to undertake both reviews together. I hope this is of use to you. -- regards tim mcgrath TEDIS fremantle western australia 6160 phone: +618 93352228 fax: +618 93352142
