Subject: Re: vOTE CALL: RE: Counter Proposal Paper Draft 0.9
RegRepers, Being somewhat out of direct touch with the latest decisions, I know that the issue of multiple query languages has surfaced. I support this as an extensible approach for query in the ebXML Registry. There are ramifications to this of course with interoperability and interface considerations for supported query language discovery, the need to specify any constraints for specific languages, etc. ebXML Registry should provide a foundation for evolving languages to be sustainable over time. If I were to vote, and ask to vote on a single query language I would not. I suggest alignment to multiple languages, and specify this for the upcoming QR cycle.
