Subject: Re: Read this if you made comments on the Messaging Services Spec
Dave, I am sorry but I will not be able to respond to this request until next week because I am sitting in a hotel room at nearly midnight and unable to go through your attachments in a reasonable way. I have a bigger concern - I have gotten a lot of delivery failure reports from the ebXML listservers in the past couple of days and it is getting to late to try to figure out what to re-send. You may or may not have received my comments at all. I will get to it as soon as I can next week. The line numbers in the document weren't stable 2. The "importance" of each suggestion was not clear To fix this problem please: 1. Read the updated change list (attached) then 2. For each change that you made: a) Check the line number against the PDF version of the spec attached to this email b) Set the category of the change as either: - 1 (Editorial) - typograhpical or some other small minor change - 2 (Minor Technical) - changes to the spec that do not substantively alter its meaning. These include changes of phraseology or clarifications. They should be unlikely in your view to be controversial with others on the list - 3 (Major Technical) - changes to the spec that do substantively change its meaning. Included in this would be any changes to the DTD or changes to the meanings or interpreation of existig items. These are likely to be more controversial. 3. Send the results of step 2 to Ralph Berwanger [rab7067@earthlink.net] in the following form (separate by tabs please) Ref LineNo Category 1 14 1 5 99 2 Any questions, please post to the list David PS I've started started allocating categories to the list for some of my changes in the attached change list that also includes Phillipe's recent changes. <<ebXML Messaging Service Specification v0-1.pdf>> <<Messaging Service Structure Change List (v1.2).xls>> Product Management, CommerceOne 4400 Rosewood Drive 3rd Fl, Bldg 4, Pleasanton, CA 94588, USA Tel: +1 (925) 520 4422 (also voicemail); Pager: +1 (888) 936 9599 mailto:david.burdett@commerceone.com; Web: http://www.commerceone.com - ebXML Messaging Service Specification v0-1.pdf - Messaging Service Structure Change List (v1.2).xls
