Subject: Re: Messaging Service and SOAP
I've seen a couple recent notes on the 'ebxml-transport' mailing list suggesting that it would be a good idea for Apache to work on an ebXML implementation. Apache's SOAP implementation was donated by IBM. Perhaps Sun can also help Apache get started? The nice thing about the Apache SOAP implementation, for example, is how easy it is to get up and running. I had it working inside an hour. The bits are available from the Java Developer Connection at: http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/earlyAccess/mproject/ I am copying Nick Kassem who is the specification lead for Project M within Javasoft as well the lead for ebXML POC. Nick will be glad to help you further. -- Regards, Farrukh Rik Drummond wrote: > ebxml transport is working with the w3c xp group, which is the group which > the soap spec in now in. the implementations for ebxml to date are beta > versions by vendors who prototyped it in tokyo. look on the ebxml list under > poc to get a list of these vendors. best regards, rik > > -----Original Message----- > From: Will Spies/Towers Perrin [mailto:spiesw@towers.com] > Sent: Tuesday, November 21, 2000 10:00 AM > To: ebxml-transport@lists.ebxml.org > Subject: Messaging Service and SOAP > > We would like to prepare for B2B exchanges that ebXML is positioned to > define.
