Subject: Re: Messaging Service and SOAP

I've seen a couple recent notes on the 'ebxml-transport' mailing list
suggesting that it would be a good idea for Apache to work on an ebXML
implementation. Apache's SOAP implementation was donated by IBM. Perhaps
Sun can also help Apache get started? The nice thing about the Apache SOAP
implementation, for example, is how easy it is to get up and running. I had
it working inside an hour.

You may also be interested in an early access version of Sun's project M,
which
provides the functionality of the ebXML Messaging Service from the Java
platform. The bits are available from the Java Developer Connection at:

    http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/earlyAccess/mproject/

I am copying Nick Kassem who is the specification lead for Project M within
Javasoft as well the lead for ebXML POC. Nick will be glad to help you
further.
