Subject: ebXML Proof-of-Concept Transport Tools? [Was: The feeding frenzy onebXML continues...
Are any of the companies that participated in the 'Proof-of-Concept' planning on providing tools for transporting messages? From a practical business standpoint organizations are beginning to implement. It would be nice if there were some 'lightweight' tools to help them evaluate ebXML. There are tools available for other transport mechanisms. Organizations are terrified (not an overstatement) at the moment of selecting a transport mechanism, building an infrastructure upon it and finding out they have made the wrong decision. There are tools to help in the evaluation of the other protocols. This is one of the main reasons why organizations, that I have been talking too, are shying away from ebXML at the moment. Will there be more technical information about the 'Proof-of-Concept' other than the press release? People tend to be a little skeptical about press releases and consider them 'marketing hype'. Will the participants write something about their findings?
