Subject: RE: XML Gave A War, But Nobody Came
George You said ... >>>How does the ebXML T,R & P working group see BQM-related products fitting in with ebXML?<<< The ebXML group has not made any formal decisions that answer your question. But IMO, I think that the two can co-exist in that you should be able to specify that BQM type messaging can be done either: a) by following ebXML TR&P reliable messaging protocls with compliant software, from any vendor, at each end, or b) by using a proprietary reliable messaging protocols, such as IBM's MQ Series, or Microsoft's MSMQ, with the same proprietary software at each end. That way, you can continue to leverage existing infrastructure you have installed. David -----Original Message----- From: George W. In the Java world there is the Java Messaging Service (JMS), which can either ride on top of one of these products or there have even been announced JMS native products. IBM submitted the Application Messaging Interface (AMI) to the Open Application Group (http://www.openapplications.org/), which has adopted it. Currently, examples in ebXML draft specifications use HTTP and SMTP. How does the ebXML T,R & P working group see BQM-related products fitting in with ebXML?
