Subject: Re: Message control
Rémy Marchand, of API*EDI, asked on Friday general testing and compliance enforcement questions re: XML in http://www.xml.org/archives/ebxml-bp/2000/05/0026.html. My suspicion is that the most appropriate ebXML forum for these questions is the Technical Coordination Project Team, led by Dick Raman (or even possibly the new Prototyping Group). I suggest the Technical Coordination team because 1) they're obviously interested in ensuring the quality of the end-product - i.e., that the ebXML framework can be implemented consistently by any number of vendors, and 2) they're really lonely because there's no traffic on their list serve. Rémy adds, after a list of good questions,"I would like to have a response before migrating my clients to XML." I have to ask: Migrate from what? If EDI, why not leave well-enough alone? If you want to use XML in a consistent interoperable framework for B2B, you may have to wait for ebXML to be completed. What's the hurry, anyway? William J.
