Subject: RE: Unresolved issues in worksheet?
After Brian and I discussed it on Friday, we decided to work the concept of economic events directly into the main body of the document but not the full REA model. Our conclusion was that REA was a specialization of what was representable by UMM. There is a note in the section where we start to talk about business collaborations (and I will add one in the overview) that UMM and ebXML are recommending the REA ontology for business process elaboration and refering people to the appendix for a more complete treatment on the subject. I would suggest that REA oriented worksheets go in that appendix. Reactions? P.S. My changes are not complete, I will send off what I have before I take off for appointments this morning. Had to put out fires at work yesterday. -----Original Message----- From: Welsh, David [mailto:David.Welsh@nordstrom.com] Sent: Sunday, March 11, 2001 4:02 PM To: 'Charlie Fineman'; 'Bob Haugen'; 'ebXML-CCBP-Analysis (E-mail)' Cc: 'Clare Shemeta' Subject: RE: Unresolved issues in worksheet? Charlie, but economic concepts is a basic element of business. Shouldn't REA, well as much as UMM describes at least, figure directly into the worksheets themselves ? Seems to belong in there.
