thanks your reply. The attachment contains only a list of codes,
doesn't it?
 I know the original lists from my 'traditional EDI'-past. ETIS
EBG has defined an EDIFACT subset for telecom invoices. Several
companies use our results and the group now is developing an XML
solution too.
I got a reply from Farrukh, who proposes to use registry
ClassificationSchemes for these codes.
I can accept his view.
Don't you know any location where they are already defined and
stored or about any steps towards to that goal ?
I mentioned only country and currency, but there are other codes
we also need, e.g. measurement units.

Eva, if you want to hook to some of these ISO standards, see the
att. for:
++ ISO3166 country codes
++ ISO4217 currencies codes
both are updated as often as necessary.

I may have more, if you need.
