Subject: ebXML-RosettaNet Link in Korea
fyi -----Original Message----- From: LIM SANGWON [mailto:swlim@kiec.or.kr] Sent: Monday, May 26, 2003 8:56 AM To: carol.geyer@oasis-open.org Subject: Re: [ebxml-mktg-sc] [Fwd: Fwd: Korean Govt to Set Up ebXML-RosettaNet Link] Carol, I compared the content of news article you sent (English) and the original article written in Korean language. Basically, they are same. So, what you read in the article is what was decided. Korea Minstry of Commerce, Industry and Energy (MOCIE), KIEC and Rosettanet Korea recently had a joint meeting and discussed about the interoperability between ebXML and Rosettanet. The target layer for linking is between ebMS and RNIF. The mechanism for linking the two is the development of adapter. They agreed to the necessity of developing the adapter. But, they have not yet secured the resources (budget). So, at this stage, they (MOCIE, KIEC, and Rosettanet Korea) reached to a consensus for the necessity to link ebXML and Rosettanet. In the future, they have to set detail plans, secure resource (budget), and launch an appropriate project. Regarding the meeting with the Korean Press, it is not confirmed yet. I will confirm it to you by tomorrow. Also, I will send you draft meeting program for OASIS-KIEC meeting on 2 June. The editor who wrote the below news article will be present either in OASIS-KIEC meeting or in the interview to be arranged by ECIF on Tuesday noon. I will write again tomorrow and provide more concrete information on the issues.
