Thanks.  I think this is basically acceptable as an overall, basic requirements
statement.  I would add a few improvements though.  I tend to be overly verbose
myself sometimes, but would like to pare down this statement just a bit.

I would omit "XML enabled databases" as being too detailed.  I don't see databases
making much sense without business applications which use them, and see them as a
subset of applications.  I would also change "XML applications" to "XML enabled
business applications".  The sentence could be simplified as:

This single set of XML standards should focus on interoperability between XML
enabled business applications, and between users of XML enabled generic end user
utilities and XML enabled business applications.
