Subject: RE: Collaboration Services (was: Business Service Interface)
<Jean-Jacques Dubray> Thank you for this excellent example, however, I think that it is important to separate the message exchange from the internal business logic that one particular role may want to implement on its side of the collaboration to best serve its own interest. </Jean-Jacques Dubray> In Dale's example, as well as many others, it is not just a question of one particular partner's internal business logic. Both partners need to agree on some rules of engagement: in Dale's example, at least the time-limited reservation of parts. Otherwise the whole business collaboration does not work. In other words, there is a public logic to the whole collaboration that must be shared to some extent. (That is not to deny the aspects of private interest.) -Bob Haugen
