Dick, this example is only valid for a proxy, HTTP/1.0 does not allow absolute URI's being sent to HTTP servers directly (it is allowed for HTTP/1.1). Furthermore, the Connection and User-Agent lines are neither required, nor illustrative for the purposes of the specification. Could you remove those?
