Indeed, there are "standardized dictionary of codes representing
different kinds of identifiers such as DUNS."  My posting yesterday. at

has a link to messages which point you in turn to ISO 6523 ICDs, at
http://www.sdct.itl.nist.gov/~ftp/l8/sc32wg2/ICD-list.htm, the  EDIFACT
D.E. 0007 Identification code qualifiers at
http://www.gefeg.com/jswg/cl/s4/40004/cl3.htm, and X12's I05 Interchange
ID Qualifier (generally available only in the X12 book).

We will need to state, or provide a normative reference to, the value of
Context that goes with each kind of party identifier.  Is there a
standardized dictionary of codes representing different kinds of
identifiers such as DUNS that we can refer to?
