Subject: Re: minutes of feb 01 2001 con-call
At the call I agreed to suggest wording for Chris's new wording for
deliverySemantics and deliveryReceiptRequested. Here's my suggestion.
Lift some wording from the XML spec, specifically from
http://www.w3.org/TR/2000/REC-xml-20001006#sec-attr-defaults
So put something like this at the end of section 4.2:
Some of the attributes in this specification are defined to have a
default value. If such a default value is defined, then when an ebXML
processor encounters an omitted attribute, it is to behave as though the
attribute were present with the declared default value; see section
3.3.2 of [XML].
Then, change the second-to-last paragraph of Chris's first edit to be:
The CPA that governs the processing of the message specifies
the value for this attribute. If the CPA does not specify a value,
the default value is BestEffort.
(And put BestEffort in bold)
And similarly change the penultimate paragraph of dRR to be:
The CPA that governs the processing of the message specifies
the value for this attribute. If the CPA does not specify a value,
the default value is None.
(and put None in bold)
