Subject: RE: v.98b - SOAP 'Via" Element
Section 8.6 Via element - lines 763 (also section 4.5 Related documents lines 790-93) Line 763 reads: "The Via element is a SOAP Header that is used to convey information to the next ebXML Message Service Handler that receives the message" Note: SOAP Header is in italics in the document, I wasn't able to italize above. I've read the SOAP 1.1 and SOAP Messages with Attachments three times now, and still cannot find documentation for the SOAP "Via" element. The URL's on my documents are: SOAP Messages with Attachments: http://msdn.microsoft.com/xml/general/soapattachspec.asp Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) 1.1 W3C Note 08 May 2000 http://www.w3.org/TR/SOAP/ Of course, you won't find a "Via" element in either of the above references. But do please add referneces to these document in 4.5 Related Documents. "Via" is not a "SOAP Header element". It is an ebXML Element. Section 8.4 MessageHeaderElement lines 372-373 provide a clue to fix the wording in line 763. By the way, as an editorial note, line 762 Via element should appear in boldface. Cheers, Bob
