Original SOAP spec came from Dave Winer @ UserLand as well as Microsoft.

Brad,

Just to be clear...

The ebXML SOAP extensions did NOT come from Microsoft, they were
developed by the ebXML Messaging team although Microsoft
did participate briefly in the review of the extensions
after they were developed.
